Can you believe how quickly the holiday season flies up every year? It’s like you pack away the garlands and lights and then it’s time to put them out again.
Our Christmas decorations are aging since most of them have been around since we got married (almost 10 years ago!), and several were around before that. They are looking a bit worn now. By a bit, I mean some are literally falling apart.
That leaves me on a mission of finding beautiful and meaningful pieces that will last at least as long (I prefer to have a few high-quality pieces that last a long time than a bunch of stuff that only lasts a couple years) and doing so without taking the boys shopping. Nothing else brings out my inner humbug quite like wrangling the boys and trying to look at pretty decorations in a store. It’s like herding caffeinated squirrels.
DaySpring came to the rescue!

Without further ado, here are some wonderful ideas for Christ-centered Christmas decor from DaySpring.
Christian Christmas Decor Ideas
Deck the Halls!
Door banners. I didn’t even know this was an option. But they are so cool!
These are so much more versatile than wreaths. There are several designs available on the site. We were sent the Jesus is the Reason door banner. The back has a lovely image, too. Don’t worry, I just put it up to see how it worked and get a picture! I put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving.
The fabric is an outdoor fabric but would work just as well on an interior door. The elastic sstraps that hold it on are a perfect fit. I like that it won’t scratch the paint on our front door like some wreaths have. I also have time to steam out the wrinkles between now and decorating.
Send Seasons Greetings
Cards are a wonderful way to let people know you’re sending them glad tidings. I generally forget until it’s too late to send any. Thankfully, I now have some beautiful cards to share with our family and friends.
I love that the DaySpring O Come Let Us Adore Him cards have an extra envelope. I always need it. And the inside is just lovely.
This Christmas, may God open our hearts to His love…our minds
to His wonders…our ears to His voice…our lives to His presence.
Have A Blessed ChristmasScripture:
The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace. Romans 15:13 KJV
There is a very large selection of cards and everything from Peanuts to beautifully gilded nativity prints. You’re sure to find the perfect card at a great price.
Light Up the Tree!
Ornaments are part of a special tradition we have. Each year we add a new family ornament to our tree. DaySpring has crafted an exquisite collection of porcelain ornaments this year!
The Glory to God ornament shown above was greeted with squeals of delight. Both our boys love the story of how Jesus came down and was born as a baby and this ornament is a perfect way to illustrate the story on our tree.
The ornament is very well made and sturdy, not like some glass ornaments that can be thin and break easily. The light bit of gold gilding on this ornament will sparkle so prettily on the tree. If your family does a yearly ornament, be sure to write the year on the back with a Sharpie so you can reminisce as you pull them out to put on the tree each year!
Shine a Light in the Darkness!
Candlelight is such a beautiful part of our Christmas traditions. I love having candles all over. They are also just a cozy kind of light.
The new Nativity Hurricane Trio Luminaries are simply stunning. I even dug up an extra pillar candle so I could show you how the light dances from the cut-outs in the metal. These hurricanes are very durable and I know will last us for many seasons.
Each side has a cutout of a Name of Jesus on one side and a scripture mentioning that name on the other. I can already feel the warmth of the fire and see these luminaries casting beautiful lights on the wall as we read through the Christmas Story this Advent season. It’s glorious!
Here’s a little glimpse of all three together. They really are a lovely addition. I hate to put them away for two months, but I must stick to my standards of enjoying Thanksgiving thoroughly first. It deserves the spotlight, too.
Counting Down the Days!
I’ve never been good at Advent calendars for the boys. We’ve started many times and I never make it past the first week. But a chalkboard countdown? Even I can get that done!
This adorable Days till Christmas Nativity Countdown chalkboard plaque is a fun addition that doesn’t get the kiddos thinking about presents, or hyped up on chocolate, or have a bunch of pieces that get lost over the season. Bonus: Your kids can take turns changing the numbers to get writing and counting practice in.

I love them, too! The hurricanes are just stunning in person, especially lit. Thanks for stopping by!
