It’s summer, the cherries are ripe and Mr. T made a cobbler for us! Gluten free and everything! He’s quite the chef. I can’t get over what a big boy he is. He just won’t stop growing! He is my big helper and I love how he always wants to empty the dishwasher, I just wish he had a better grasp of when the dishes are clean versus dirty 🙂 We’ve been busy in our Montessori kitchen this week.Mr. T has really gotten back into wanting to cook so that’s what we’ve been doing. It is incredible to see how much he can do, especially since he isn’t even 3 1/2 yet.
I’ve been trying to take a little more time to refill my tank lately. I finally got my wonderful “Grace not perfection” print from my friend Emily Ley’s shop framed and hung over my tea and writing space in our living room. It’s a wonderful reminder. God has shown me grace, so I should show it to myself. And I love drinking from my Busy Mom’s “No Drama, Mama!” cup. It’s just fun. My little writing moment this week was nice. The boys went to sleep early and I had tea and a blueberry muffin Mr. T made that morning.
Mr. F is now 10 months old, and walking all over the place as fast as he can! He’s also getting curls! Precious red curls all over his sweet little head! Mr. T asked for cookies so we made some with our new coconut flour. We are still getting the hand of gluten free baking, but they tasted really good! And Mr. T loves his guitar he got for Christmas, I love that it’s the perfect size for him. He’s really quite good at strumming. I’m hoping to get my piano moved upstairs and tuned soon so we can begin learning some basics of music. I think music is such a huge part of learning, and I love that Mr. T is such a little music lover already!
And for my boy mom adventure this week, we had a hitchhiker I’ll call Itchy, since he was itching to get out of the car :/ We bought a plant at Kroger that was on clearance and got a bonus. Itchy was not very happy to have ended up in our car, and I was very thankful I wasn’t driving when he dropped onto the dash and tried to climb out the windshield. I had to get a picture, these things don’t happen every day :), then I ran over to the passenger side and opened the door. Itchy scurried down the door and into a bush we were parked next to. I hope he found his way home.
We also tried making coconut milk “shakes”. They were awesome! And Mr. T has been reading to daddy on the nights he gets home early from work. It is absolutely precious. I am so thankful for these days with my little ones. Even though the days seem so very long sometimes, I know these moments and lessons are being used to train me as much as they are the boys. God is so faithful to us and today I’m just overwhelmed by that grace.
What fun have you had this week? I’d love to visit your blog and see! We are linked up here:
