It’s been a while since I shared my Fix fun. I have to be honest, dealing with a hypothyroidism relapse has made me extra self conscious. Nothing fits quite right and I’ve been at the doctor between 1 and 3 times a month since January. I’ve had enough blood draws to sign up for the Dracula Donors program. But that’s life with a chronic illness and now that I’m back on medication (complete with headaches and hair loss), hopefully we are back on track to getting things working properly again.
I decided to request a fix to help me feel a little less glum about all the blood draws and appointments and my dear Tina came through with an amazing fix! Just because I feel like I’ve been run over by a herd of angry elephants, it doesn’t mean I have to dress like it. There’s nothing like a little retail therapy to spruce up your closet and to make a girl feel like a million bucks. Sort of like Scarlett O’Hara and a new hat. Am I right? Summer chic! Liverpool Skinny Jeans in WHITE. I thought white jeans were something I couldn’t pull off, but Tina sent me these and the Papermoon Maybelle Striped Sheer Back Tank and it’s just perfect. The jeans are so soft and wash really well. (But for real, if you have children, invest in a Tide pen and some OxyClean to be safe. You should have both anyway if you have kids 😉 )
The Maybelle tank is soft, breezy, comfy, and on days when my thyroid makes me puffy, it’s flowy and still fits great. Plus navy and stripes are kind of a favorite pattern. Yes, I kept both.
Blue is by far my favorite color to wear. Do you have a color you gravitate toward? I also love florals. Tina knows this so . . .
I was delighted the moment I saw the Daniel Rainn Vivienne Split Neck Blouse. How gorgeous, soft, flowy, and delightfully floral can you get? This blouse came with a camisole and I love the slight high/low hem. The Liverpool Taylor Colored denim shorts are so comfortable. I have a strict “at least 5″ inseam” rule for shorts and these are great! I have a pair of floral print of the exact same shorts that I also love, but the color on these is so fantastic! I kept both of these, too.
The blouse colors are a great mix and go beautifully with my Brixon Ivy cardigan from a few fixes ago, too. Â (Shown below with a gorgeous Collective Concepts dress, and my adorable gentlemen one Sunday morning before Church)
And the pièce de résistance. I wear more dresses now than I used to, and all the dresses I own are Stitch Fix pieces except for one. All the Stitch Fix dresses and skirts I have are so well made and when I have an event that I need something specific for, I just ask Tina for something. This time, I asked for a fix to brighten my day since everything health wise has been a bit sludgy. Friends, she found me a dress with pockets! That’s the epitome of perfection for me. And it’s navy blue and coral, my favorite combo.  (Kept this, too)
The 41Hawthorn Keziah Shirt Dress is my new favorite wardrobe item. I love the colors and the design. The neckline is perfect. It’s fun but not low cut and it works great with my Kendra Scott Elisa necklace from RocksBox. The length is awesome since I’m not big on “short” skirts. ANDÂ it styles perfectly with my favorite cowgirl boots. It also makes for fun date night duds. See below with my hunny? We got to go to one of our favorite local haunts and enjoy a grown ups night. Date nights are rare but important and I’m happy I had this sweet little dress to don for the occasion.
Here you can see the boots and the pockets. If you haven’t signed up for Stitch Fix yet, what on earth are you waiting for? It really is a great service and they are such a wonderful company. Trying on the clothes without leaving the house, the 25% off buy 5 discount, and the wonderful stylists are truly worth spending a little more to have quality clothes over quantity of clothes. Even with hypothyroidism, this mom still gets to look nice and feel good. I’d say that’s a prescription every mom deserves. Wouldn’t you?

I love the third outfit the best, the one with the floral blouse. It looks great on you and very summery.
