The Joshua Code for Kids: I Can Learn the Bible
“God’s Word is for me and to me, it is in me and working through me, and just like His love, it goes on and on forever!”
Saying this phrase with Mr. T over and over the past few weeks has been an awesome experience. This phrase really represents the purpose of I Can Learn the Bible. Memorizing one verse per week with a lesson that helps little hearts understand big concepts is a great way to incorporate family Bible time.

Build Big Faith in Little Minds
The set up is simple and based on Joshua 1:8 where we are told (paraphrasing) to meditate on God’s Word day and night, act according to it, and that will make our way prosperous and give us success (God’s variety, not the world’s).
There is a simple schedule for using the devotional and the scriptures each day of the week. We want our children to keep their childlike faith for their entire lives and sealing away Scripture in their young hearts is a perfect tool to help them do just that.
Monday: Read the devotional and have your child recite the verse.
Tuesday: Have your child memorize the first phrase of the verse. Talk about what it means.
Wednesday: Memorize the middle part of the verse. Talk and ask questions while you are saying the first and middle part of the verse.
Thursday through Sunday all have small broken down tasks to help make memorization easy and meaningful.
Hearing my 4 year old recite John 3:16 and then during our discussion his precious little observation was, “Mommy, that means God takes away my bad life and gives me a good one, right?!?” beaming from ear to ear. That is the faith and assurance I hope to help instill in him through our studies together. I pray for faith to take root and grow and grow in his heart and mind.
He has also decided he wants to highlight his Bible with the verses we are memorizing. I guess he does pay attention when Mommy has her quiet time at the table!

Absolutely! Looks like fun!
Looks like a helpful system loaded with meaningful verses.
I think it’s a well thought out system that would be helpful in scripture memorization. Thanks.

I do think it would help. Its purposeful weekly exploration allows for a deeper understanding, not simply memorization of words. Thanks for the chance to win.
I think that this would help my daughter’s.
I think anything will help with our bible readings.
