Why, yes, that is a (homemade) modge podge activity tray for my 22.5 month old! I felt like living on the edge for the morning craft session. We made Mimi a lovely candle holder from a jelly jar and some fun tissue paper we had at the house. Mr. T thought it was so much fun and he loves any craft he can turn into a mess at the end.
Here you can see the finished jar to Mr. T’s left at the back corner of the tray. I’m afraid all hands were required so I didn’t get any good pictures of him actually painting on the glue, but oh did he think that was grand! But if the glue/paper combo stuck to his hands he got mildly frustrated. So I stepped in before I had green tissue paper stuck to our vaulted ceiling. It happens.
Pouring the glue onto the tray.
Painting the tray with glue and affixing the leftover tissue paper. And this is why our activity tray is plastic for now. It also came from Target’s dollar bin. These things clean up great!
Mimi’s finished candle holder glowing at her house. Isn’t it sweet? I’d love to visit your links for gift crafts you did with your little ones! Thanks for stopping by!
